Hello everyone.. 🙂

I hope you are enjoying my posts. Here in this post I’m going to tell you about my stay in kumbhalgarh safari camp.We choose this place because we never stayed in a camp before and badly wants to experience the adventure of a camp. This place is on a little height in the lap of Arravali hills and the most amazing feature of this place is its front view.. scenic lake surrounded by hills, this enhanced the beauty of the location. When we entered the camp, we can see the beautiful cottages in two rows and lush green area. Reception was a large room with tent roof top. Check-in process was quit smooth and we were welcomed by khas sharbat.

We were alloted cottage no. 108 which is on the first floor. Every cottage has outside space for sitting which adds an extra charm to it. Room is elegantly furnished with all modern facilities like wardrobe, bed, TV , tea/coffee maker , small fridge etc.. also have a side space as seating area. Bathroom is small but clean and also provided with all useful toiletries. Simply it can be classified as semi-luxurious tent.

As we scheduled to visit Ranakpur jain temple, so we decided to order our lunch. Unlike wild retreat, In-room dining menu here had a lot of options and we found a mouth watering dish ” Shahi Govind Gatte” which is an authentic rajasthani dish. Along with it, we ordered naan, stuffed kulcha and pineapple raita , every thing tastes good. After having lunch we went ranakpur and from there return in evening.

when we returned it was almost dark and all the cottages and garden is well decorated with lights, along with it the smell of flowers and music created by insects add a pleasant effect in the atmosphere. Camp also offers tea on boat in the front lake but we missed the opportunity due to our late return. So we simply enjoy the tea in garden.

After that we went in our room get fresh and relax for some time as we were so tired. Then we have our dinner (hariyali paneer tikka as starter and chinese platter as main course) and after dinner go for a walk in garden and near pool side. Finally day was over and we retired ourselves to bed.

Morning is the best time of the camp with a beautiful sunrise. If anyone is staying here, he/she should not miss the sunrise. I try to capture it but the whole process is far amazing then these two or three pics.

While morning refreshed us from within, it also stroke hunger in me. Breakfast was included in our package, so we headed to restaurant after morning rituals. Restaurant has also beautiful blue tent roof and arranged systemically. Buffet had almost all breakfast options like juice, fresh fruits, poha, paratha, idli-sambhar , tea/coffee however one thing missing was ” live-counter” which is must if you are claiming property as luxury.

After breakfast we moved towards Pool, which also did not leave good impression. Even filter was ON but we could see the dead insects inside it. Staff was not aware of this condition, may be it was due to off season time. However we had to leave for home soon, so we opted not to experience pool.Another con of the camp was lack of adventure activities which automatically comes in the mind when u hear about a camp.

Overall Kumbhalgarh Safari Camp is well maintained semi luxury property and is value to your money. If you are visiting Kumbhalgarh, then it is one of few properties where you should stay.

After check out we headed back to Mehsana via Nathdwara and we passed through beautiful rural area. Here I am leaving some memories of our road journey back to mehsana.
