WILD RETREAT KUMBHALGARH

Hello everyone.. 🙂

I hope you like my other two posts on kubhalgarh visit… I choose this place because it is among the new destination on rise and also a nearest hillstation(from my place)  where I can soak myself in the beauty of nature(as I am a nature lover). My main aim for this trip is to relax myself from the hectic city life so i choose the resort accordingly. My first choice was WILD RETREAT KUMBHALGARH because it is remote, quiet and not connected to the outside world, but i also want the experience of camps in jungle so after reading lots of reviews i finally choose KUMBHALGARH SAFARI CAMP for my next day stay. Both the places are entirely different from one another. Here i’m writing about my stay and experience in THE WILD RETREAT RESORT KUMBHALGARH.

We reached the resort after a drive of 5 hours and did not had any difficulty in finding it because google map knows every place.. 😉 . Resort is situated on the hill and the way from entrance to parking is very steep (be cautiousous if you are driving). Reception from parking is few stairs away, situated in starting of resort. Check in process was smooth, manager allotted us villa no. 10 which is next to swimming pool.

The walk from reception to villa is amazing, imagine a lane of stone structured villas and you are walking along these on stone path surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants. Villa no.10 is situated on little hight, we climbed stairs and reached front area of our villa that overlook hills. As soon as we entered the room, we were overwhelmed to see it-  large spacious room having canopy bed, a sliding door take you to open balcony which gives you eye catching view of famous kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary. Room was equipped with  all modern equipments like T. V., wardrobe and tea/coffee maker. Room also has a private dressing room which leads to the bathroom. The only thing that I miss in bathroom is bathtub otherwise it is neat, clean and spacious like room.

As we were hungry after a long drive (from Mehsana to Kumbhalgarh), we decided to order food in the room( Also we were informed that restaurant is under renovation as resort is expending itself). In-dining menu was limited, so we decided to go with all time favorite paneer tikka masala, pineapple raita and rotis as it is easiest way to check food quality. And food turned out delicious- Panner was soft and well cooked, rotis were also good.
After taking rest, we headed to kumbhalgarh fort and by the time we returned, it was dark & time for dinner. As we were in Rajasthan, so I decided to go for authentic rajasthani food ” Dal Bati & churma” along with “stuffed potato” in starter. It was best dal bati I ever had and Churma laddu is too delicious to explain, I can still feel the mouth watering taste of laddoo. After dinner we went for a walk and stayed there for a while listening to nature. It was cold outside and we were tired so headed back to our room and went to sleep. Also, bed was comfortable enough to give us a goodnight sleep.
Starting of the next morning was very beautiful, we woke up listening to sound of nature. After ordering tea we sat into courtyard and enjoyed our tea viewing valley. Then we decided to experience swimming pool. Reception was fast enough to facilitate our request to clean the pool. Resort have beautiful infinity pool overlooking the valley. It was great experience and we spent almost 2 hours in pool. After that we take shower and order our breakfast. Food is the only limitataion in this resort with very limited options.

My experience here was amazing as i love to stay in peace. This resort can be an ideal place if you want to spend some alone and relaxing time with your loved one. Few problems like mobile network and wifi  not available. Resort does not have card payment facility and near by ATM is also in the town (about 5-6 kms from here). Apart from these 2-3 cons, Resort was great and is beautifully designed with great scenic beauty. If next time I visit kumbhalgarh I would love to stay here again because one day is not enough to take full advantage of this place.

LIVING BEAUTIFULLY RATING – 3.8/5

After checking out, our next stop was kumbhalgarh safari camp.
